Divinatory Keywords & Phrases

The bearer of information.  I have what you seek.  Live the life of a solitary and gain freedom from nonsense.  Just when you think you arrived, there is more to go.  The lesson is: Progress is perfection.  Knowledge and wisdom is for anyone who is willing to work for it.  Be neutral and quiet in the still of the night. I will guide you in the dark. Everything you need is here.  Here, is where you are.  You can find your way, when you quiet the mind.  Meditate, meditate, meditate.  Being of service to strangers.  A lighthouse of epic proportions.  Pure truth.  The internal struggle between choosing reality over illusion, knowing over not, society over self.  An inner dialogue.  Limbo.  On one’s way back home.  There’s no one right answer. The right answer is a blend of all answers.  A “stairway to heaven”.  A path to spirituality, religion, where you find yourself.  Find yourself.  Mental and emotional peace and tranquility.  This is my knowledge, truth, wisdom: What and where is yours?  All can never be known.  Some truths are purposefully hidden.  When you know the whole truth, you will be set free.  Not really.  It’s the quest that keeps humans alive.  Locate your inner Buddha, your Divine Spark within. Self-analysis. Taking a look at what’s “down there”.  Being outside of social convention but continuing to observe it, nonetheless.  “Silly people, you have no idea.  THIS is it.  Right in front of your eyes.  Plain as day around your self-imposed darkness and illusions.” Get clean.  Stop drugging yourself.

A mature yet youthful man in the quiet of the night.

The darker blue sky, white area stood upon (rocks, snowy mountain top), and gray cloak give a cool feeling suggesting this scene is taking place at night.

The Grey hooded and cloaked mature man with a white beard and longish hair is looking down suggesting he is higher than those below.  He holds up a lantern high, almost like the proverbial “dangling carrot“.   The lantern contains a 6 pointed star (The Star of Creation, Merkaba Star, Tetrahedron) and it’s symbolism is varied.  It is said to stand for the 6 attributes of GodPower, wisdom, majesty, love, mercy and justice. These attributes are what many humans, who wants to ascend and become enlightened, strive to embody within their own Buddha-self or Divine Spark within.  The Creator’s Star is also The Star of David, a symbol of modern day Israel and the The Star of Creation also have Christian and Occultist roots (i.e. freemasonry).

The “light” within the lantern and staff are golden yellow and represent wisdom and G-d.  Light also represents seeing and therefore wisdom. Flares of light break out of the lantern and says, “Wisdom is for all – just come and get it!”  Seek it out the light.  And the golden staff seems to be saying, “I have some wisdom for you to get; however, I won’t give you everything.  I’m holding on to some of what I know.” In other words, we all must find our own wisdom and make our own decisions based on the knowledge we possess inside.

Polarity of Virgo-Pisces themes of service, knowledge, reflection, healing, and discovery.  How do I heal best? Do I make decisions based on my thoughts (mind) or go with my feelings (heart)?

A lot of people are unaware that the tarot contains religious content, and the RWS (Rider-Waite-Smith) version contains early Christian / Judaic symbolism and themes in the picture cards.  It’s not so much the work of the devil when it’s supporting, re-enforcing, and documenting religious and spiritual precepts and story.

It’s said that God’s attributes are: righteous, just, judge, wrath, grace, mercy, and love, incomprehensible, eternal, self-existent, immutable, perfect, incomparable, good, holy, is personal, the creator, life giver, invisible, omnipresent, omniscient, omniscient, knows the future, omnipotent, sovereign..  God sounds like a Leo and a Virgo and interestingly Jesus is a Pisces (the polar opposite of Virgo) — More on God:

If the colinear edges of a regular six-pointed star are connected, so that two interlaced triangles are formed, a symbol results that is variously known as the hexagram, Star of David, or Shield of David (Mogen David). This symbol is most commonly associated with Judaism; it is also used in Christianity and Islam, but on a less frequent basis. The six-points represent all twelve patriarchs (Vav or Man) or tribes. The two “Triangles” are actually the letters “Dalet” and “Yud”, the two letters assigned to Judah. The two triangles form a diamond, which is the gem assigned to Judah. These letters are found in the assigned zodiac of Leo.

Carrot and stick (also “carrot or stick”) is an idiom that refers to a policy of offering a combination of rewards and punishment to induce behavior. Some claim that this usage of phrase is erroneous, and that in fact comes from the figure of a carrot on a stick. In this case, the driver would tie a carrot on a string to a long stick and dangle it in front of the donkey, just out of its reach. As the donkey moved forward to get the carrot, it pulled the cart and the driver so that the carrot would always remain out of reach.  The earliest citation of this expression recorded by the Supplement to the Oxford English Dictionary is to The Economist magazine in the December 11, 1948, issue.

Carrot on a stick is an idiom that refers to a policy of offering a reward for making progress towards benchmarks or goals but not necessarily ever actually delivering. The original metaphor referred to a boy sitting on a cart being pulled by a donkey. The boy held a long stick to which a carrot had been tied, and he dangled the carrot in front of the donkey but just out of its reach. As the donkey moved forward to get the carrot, it pulled the cart—and the boy—so that the carrot always remained just out of reach as the cart moved forward.

Stairway to Heaven

There’s a lady who’s sure
All that glitters is gold
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven

When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven

There’s a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
‘Cause you know sometimes words have
Two meanings

In a tree by the brook
There’s a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are

Ooh, it makes me wonder

Ooh, it makes me wonder

There’s a feeling I get
When I look to the west
And my spirit is crying
For leaving

In my thoughts I have seen
Rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those
Who stand looking

Ooh, it makes me wonder

Ooh, it really makes me wonder

And it’s whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason

And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will
Echo with laughter

Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, ooh, whoa, oh

If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow
Don’t be alarmed now
It’s just a spring clean
For the May queen

Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There’s still time to change
The road you’re on

And it makes me wonder

Aw, uh, oh

Your head is humming and it won’t go
In case you don’t know
The piper’s calling you to join him

Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow?
And did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind?

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The truth will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll

And she’s buying a stairway
To heaven…

Hmmm….I think the Hermit might be linked with Merlin and Aquarius. Someone who likes to live backwards in time but is extremely smart with genius potential. However, because they are so ahead of their time, they are viewed as eccentric and not mentally sound so they exclude themselves from society.

number 9 is the hermit…interesting because my apartment is number 9 and i’m a hermit. hermit is the Capricorn. the soft blue surrounds him which is symbolic of the sadness around him. his gray robe suggests he is trying his best to remain neutral to this sadness and the fact that he is looking down tells me he is looking within, into his own world…his terrain is that of snow, as he faces the hardships of winter, a cold reality. as the hermit is alone he is also free of the constraints of society and a higher power guides his every step, as is indicative of the lantern he carries, lighting his way.
